CSR Policy

Living beyond the self

At Captain there is always an intent to make a positive difference to society, above and beyond the existing strong employee engagement it has. As a responsible corporate, Captain has made a mark in environmental stewardship and community involvement practices. Be it tree plantation at Kulti in West Bengal, setting up of ambulance services in Asansol, West Bengal, road construction at Kalyaneshwari, West Bengal, or donating furniture and constructing bathrooms in schools across West Bengal. Captain goes the whole way when it comes to sustainable development in and around its sphere of operation. Near its plant in Kalyaneshwari, the Purandi burning ghat got a facelift due to the efforts of Captain Steel.

During the pandemic, Captain steel activated its immense and impressive dealer and distributor network to reach out those affected by the lockdown. Almost 70 tonnes of potato, 50 tonnes of rice, 5 tonnes of dal, 10,000 packets of biscuits and many other things were provided to those in dire distress through the well managed supply chain system. When a good deed is done many come forward, and this immense task would not have been possible unless the dealers and distributors from the extended Captain family had come forward and done their best to help those in need, from across West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and UP.
Many more such activities are either ongoing or will soon be executed.
